In a saucepan, add pasta and milk. (Double-check if the saucepan is larger than what’s required to prevent the milk from spilling over!)
Step 2:
Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for 20 minutes, until pasta is soft, stirring frequently. Be sure the milk does not boil.
Step 3:
Turn the heat off.
Step 4:
Add cheese & salt.
Step 5:
Stir to combine.
Step 6:
Stir in the mustard a little at a time to taste.
Step 7:
Cover and let stand for about 5 minutes, then stir again and serve.
Step 8:
Add a tablespoon or more milk to your desired creaminess level.
Step 9:
Gently stir.
Step 10:
Optional: Oven Finish- Place in a baking dish and top with a generous sprinkling of cheese and bake at 200C degrees for approximately 10 minutes until the cheese has melted.
