Step 1:

  • 1. put your water stock, mustard and pepper into a big sauce pan and bring to the boil 2. now add your cabbage and your carrots boil until both are tender
  • Step 2:

  • 3. next add your chopped ham this will cook in seconds so keep an eye on it!
  • Step 3:

  • 4 now taste it?? taste good? yes take it off the heat. still tasting a bit watered down? add another stock cube to it and stir till dissolved
  • Step 4:

  • 5. now give it a good stir add some more pepper to taste
  • Step 5:

  • 6. serve with some ciabatta or french bread
