Cates Chilli Con Carne Serves 4 By Guest Contributor August 12, 2010 Beef Preparation Time Cook Time Servings0Ingredients2 tablespoons of oil1 large onion, chopped2 garlic cloves, crushed125g bacon slices, chopped500g minced beef1 x 400g can tomatoes 1 x 400g red kidney beans, drained1 tablespoon of chilli powder1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powderInstructions Step 1: 1. Heat oil in saucepan. Add onion, garlic, bacon and fry for 5 minutes. Step 2: 2. Add beef and fry for another 5 minutes or until it loses the pink colour. Step 3: 3. Stir in all the remaining ingredients. Step 4: 4. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Step 5: Step 6: Serve with fluffy white rice.
