Step 1:

  • Firstly prepare a batter for a large yorkshire pudding. Whisk together 3 eggs with a cup of flour and a cup of milk. Leave to stand for half an hour.

  • After half an hour preheat an oven to 220 and add 3 tbsp of oil to a oven proof dish. Place the dish in the oven for 5 minutes to heat the oil. After 5 minutes take out the dish and add the batter. Place back in the oven for about 25 minutes.

  • Whilst the batter is cooking in a pan add the stewing steak, drain the peas and carrots and add them. Simmer until the gravy becomes more fluid, you can add water if you like.

  • Fill another pan with water, add the potatoes and bring to the boil.

  • Once the yorkshire pudding is cooked take it out of the dish an put on a plate. Drain the potatoes and place inside. Pour over the stewing steak and veg. Serve.
