Chicken Adobo

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, chopped
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 medium sized onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 3-5 whole peppercorn
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt
  • 2 large potatoes, cubes *(optional)
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks *(optional)
  • 1 tbsp sugar *(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Saute garlic and onion until brown. Mix in the chicken until it changes color.

  2. 2. Pour the soy sauce and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  3. 3. Add in potatoes, pineapple and sugar if desired.

  4. 4. Put in the bay leaves and peppercorn. Simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. 5. Add salt if still needed.

  6. Best served with rice! 🙂 ENJOOOOOY!
