Chicken and Chestnut Soup

Very thick and yummy soup

Ingredients
- cooked (boiled tends to be best) and shelled chestnuts – try not to eat too many!
- Chicken (i tend to use the bones of a cooked chicken I’ve bought plus some extra meat)
- onions
- Chicken stock
- any veg for extra bulk and flavour – carrots etc
Instructions
gently fry the onions in the bottom of a big pan
add the extra veg and cook untill a little soft
pour in the stock and add the chicken and chestnuts
simmer for an hour or so, stirring occaisionally
blend together
you should end up with a really thick broth – my favourite for the winter!
