Chicken and Chestnut Soup Very thick and yummy soup By Guest Contributor August 13, 2009 Soup Preparation Time Cook Time Servings0Ingredientscooked (boiled tends to be best) and shelled chestnuts – try not to eat too many!Chicken (i tend to use the bones of a cooked chicken I’ve bought plus some extra meat)onionsChicken stockany veg for extra bulk and flavour – carrots etcInstructions Step 1: gently fry the onions in the bottom of a big pan Step 2: add the extra veg and cook untill a little soft Step 3: pour in the stock and add the chicken and chestnuts Step 4: simmer for an hour or so, stirring occaisionally Step 5: blend together Step 6: you should end up with a really thick broth – my favourite for the winter!
