Step 1:

  • gently fry the onions in the bottom of a big pan
  • Step 2:

  • add the extra veg and cook untill a little soft
  • Step 3:

  • pour in the stock and add the chicken and chestnuts
  • Step 4:

  • simmer for an hour or so, stirring occaisionally
  • Step 5:

  • blend together
  • Step 6:

  • you should end up with a really thick broth – my favourite for the winter!
