Basic Italian Schnitzel

yummy, easy and did i meantion yummy and easy?



  • 6 chicken schnitzels
  • oil
  • 500g jar tomato pasta sauce
  • 6 slices ham
  • 6 slices mozzarella


1) heat oil in large pan.

2) cook schnitzel on medium heat 2-3 minutes per side or until golden. Drain on baking paper and get rid of extra oil in pan.

3) add pasta sauce to pan and stir til hot.

4) place schnitzel in single layer on top of sauce in pan, top each schnitzel with a slice of prosciutto or ham then a slice each of mozzarella.

5) cook 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and cheese melted, serve.
