Egg And Chicken Fried Rice

Published Saturday, 12 January, 2013 by Laura

Egg and chicken fried rice, just like from the take away

  • 2 eggs
  • rice 75grams/ 3oz or so, how ever much you want
  • chicken (frozen, ready to eat)
  • an onion (or half if large)
  • peas
  • soy sauce
  • garlic and salt
  • sesame seeds (optional, but add a nice crunch!)

-chop the onion

-boil the rice until cooked

-add the frozen or ready cooked chicken to a large frying pan with some oil along with your peas and onion (frozen chicken can be bought cheap in aldi. All you have to do is heat it and it's ready to eat!)

-add the rice, soy sauce, garlic and salt (to taste)

-cook for about 5-10 minutes, then push to one side of the pan

-add the egg and keep mixing with the rest of the ingredients, as if you were making scrambled egg.You don't want a block of egg and rice, so keep mixing until there are separate bits of egg

-add the sesame seeds and keep on the heat for another few minutes

-finally, take off the heat and serve.
