Chicken/Pork Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • For 2 People:
  • > 2 Chicken or Pork fillets
  • > 1 Small Onion or equivalent Spring Onions
  • > 50g Cashew Nuts (optional)
  • > 2oz Broccoli, thinly sliced (optional)
  • > 2oz Mushrooms, thinly sliced (optional)
  • > 1/2 tbsp Cornflour (bisto gravy thickener works just as well)
  • > 1/2 tsp 5-Spice powder
  • > 2 Cloves Garlic
  • > 2 tsp Grated Ginger
  • > 1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce

Instructions

  1. – Slice your chosen meat into thin strips and toss in the cornflour and 5-Spice.

  2. – Sprinkle in 1/2 tbsp of soy sauce, mix well, cover and leave for ~30 mins in the fridge.

  3. – Heat 1tbsp of oil in a large pan/wok.

  4. – Fry the cashews, stirring constantly, until golden and remove. (keep warm in oven on low heat)

  5. – Fry the meat until crisp and remove. (same as above)

  6. – Fry the onion, garlic and ginger for 2 minutes.

  7. – Replace the meat and cashews, then add your broccoli and mushrooms and cook for a further 1-2 minutes.

  8. Serve over noodles.
