Chili Tuna Rice

Very simple rice dish (could be an acquired taste?)
Difficulty Level: easy
Ingredients
- -1 tin of tuna
- – around 200g of rice (can be more or less depending on how much you like to eat i guess).
- -sweet chili sauce (i strongly recommend the blue dragon brand for this)
- optional suggestions:
- mushrooms
Instructions
– start by cooking your rice, use the instructions on the packet, any variety of rice that you like can be used but i like to use basmati rice for this dish.
– while the rice is cooking drain your tin of tuna of it’s oil/water/brine whatever. I always use tuna in sunflower oil for this so i don’t know what it tastes like otherwise but the chili sauce should mask the flavour anyway.
– scoop the tuna into a bowl and add a liberal amount of sweet chili sauce. Then, using a fork perhaps, mash the tuna and chili sauce together.
-when your rice is done simply add it to the tuna mix and stir it in.
-if you took up the optional suggestion of mushrooms then either chop/slice them up and cook them. I personally just shove them in the microwave for a couple of minutes but you could fry them or something. When they’ are cooked add them to the mix.
