Chilli Tomato and Bacon Pasta

Step 1:

  • Cook the pasta as instructed on the packet. When there are about 7 minutes remaining, begin cooking the bacon, chopped into small pieces (this is easiest with scissors) in a pan with some oil. When cooked, add the chopped tomatoes and stir well. Then add a reasonable amount of chilli powder and some basil, along with some seasoning and heat gently until piping hot throughout.

  • When the pasta is cooked, drain off and return to the heat with the sauce added. Stir the sauce through the pasta, and serve immediately. You could even add a sprig of fresh basil to the top of the pasta if you’re feeling really posh ;). Et voila!
