Cook the pasta as instructed on the packet. When there are about 7 minutes remaining, begin cooking the bacon, chopped into small pieces (this is easiest with scissors) in a pan with some oil. When cooked, add the chopped tomatoes and stir well. Then add a reasonable amount of chilli powder and some basil, along with some seasoning and heat gently until piping hot throughout.

When the pasta is cooked, drain off and return to the heat with the sauce added. Stir the sauce through the pasta, and serve immediately. You could even add a sprig of fresh basil to the top of the pasta if you’re feeling really posh ;). Et voila!
