cinnamon biscuits

Ingredients

  • 150g SR flour
  • 150g plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 125g butter
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 beaten egg

Instructions

  1. Set the oven to 160’c (gas mark 3)

  2. Sift the two flours and the cinnamon into a large bowl

  3. In a separate bowl, mix butter and sugar until smooth

  4. Add the egg and mix well

  5. Stir in the dry ingredients and mix into a firm dough

  6. Lift onto a lightly floured board and knead well until smooth

  7. Roll to 5mm thickness

  8. Cut into shapes and place onto a greased oven tray

  9. Bake in the preheated oven until the biscuits are a light golden colour (about 10-15 mins)

  10. Let the biscuits cool and harden on a wire rack

  11. Enjoy!
