Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- I package flaked unsweetened coconut
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 1 cup melted milk chocolate chips to decorate (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Beat egg whites in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed till the egg whites are frothy (kinda like the foam on a beer)
Add all of your ingredients to the bowl and mix well with a wooden spoon.
Using an ice cream scoop (or your hands/measuring spoons), drop tablespoons of batter, 2 inches apart on a lightly greased and floured baking sheet (silicone mats are easier)
Bake for 20-22 mins or till the edges of the macaroons are golden brown. Leave them to cool and then enjoy! (Or if you wanna decorate, dip the tops into the melted chocolate or drizzle the chocolate with a snipped ziplock bag instead) and let the chocolate harden).
