Ingredients
- Bread (Stale is better for this but fresh works fine too)
- Plenty of oil
- A couple of cloves pureed garlic.
- Seasoning
Instructions
Take the crusts off the bread and either cube it or roughly tear it apart.
Mince and puree your garlic, preferably with a knife not a silly garlic press (as they waste half the garlic).
Oil in the pan with the garlic and fry it off for a couple of minutes
Add your bread, toss it in the oil, or use a spatula to move it about and cook on all sides.
10 minutes later, croutons! Either let them go cold or eat hot.
They’ll tart up any boring salad for pence, as will a bit of olive oil and seasoning. No need to buy fancy dressings to eat a tastry salad.
