Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 3 cup self raising flour
  • 4 eggs

Method

•preheat oven to 140 degrees

•grease the cake tin with butter or cooking spray oil

•using an electric beater, cream butter and sugar for 5 minutes or until the colour is pale and fluffy.

•add one eggs at a time, beating well with each addition.

•fold in sifted flour

•pour mixture into greased pan and bake for 1 1/4 hours (cover with alfoil if the cake is browning too quickly)

•cool in tin before taking it out.

it's much lovelier with whipped cream and strawberries

    I'm confused by the heat prescription... 140 degrees Celsius is oddly low, but I guess it could be a thing. But with the ingredients given in cup, this looks american, so 140 Fahrenheit? That's "put it out in the sun on a hot day"

    @fireboltqueen not everyone likes chocolate, and it's pretty sweet. Dont think it, taste it before you decide whether it's going to taste good or not.

    Its alot tasty n delicious with eggs in it and eithout eggs too.... Very lovely cake....!!....
