Gingerbread Pancakes

Something different to try this shrove tuesday – nice and thick breakfast style pancakes

Ingredients
- 190g flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp. Ground ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 60ml black treacle
- 300ml milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- oil for frying pan
- makes about 10 pancakes
Instructions
1) whisk the milk, treacle and eggs together in a jug.
2) combine all the dry ingredients together in a bowl then whisk in the liquid gradually and whisk all together.
3) heat your pan on a medium-high heat with a little oil, enough the coat the whole pan (so it doesn’t stick) and pour 1 ladle of batter into the pan.
4) cook on each side for about 2-3 mins depending on thickness and heat, but it should start to bubble when it needs flipping.
