Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 or 2 eggs
  • dash of milk (optional)
  • splash of vanilla essence
  • castor sugar
  • butter
  • fruit or chocolate (optional)

Instructions

  1. Medium heat on a hob, melt a good sized blob of butter in a frying pan

  2. whisk the eggs with the dash of milk if using and the vanilla essence

  3. cut the slice of bread in half and dip them into the eggy mixture

  4. fry the bread until golden

  5. sprinkle a plate with the sugar then take the bread and flip it until coated

  6. accompany with fruit or chocolate
