If you need the perfect side dish to serve with an Italian feast, nothing is better than a quick and easy garlic bread. It takes less than 20 minutes and five steps to throw together.
Ingredients
Instructions
STEP 1:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
STEP 2:
Soften your butter and then mix with garlic puree and mixed herbs until a smooth paste is formed.
STEP 3:
Slice your bread into about 1-inch thick pieces. Spread your butter mixture liberally over slices of white bread.
STEP 4:
Grate the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle over the buttered bread. Place in oven for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
When the garlic bread is done, you should have perfectly toasted golden brown bread with soft, dripping butter in the middle. The Parmesan cheese is optional but provides an excellent flavor that pairs well with the Italian-style dish. Plus, the melted cheese creates a crispy layer on top that looks and adds to the texture of the garlic bread.
With a few quick shortcuts like garlic purée and Italian seasoning instead of fresh herbs, you can make this easy garlic bread any time of year in under 20 minutes. It’s such a crowd pleaser because who doesn’t love butter and cheese on bread?
