Fish Rice With Sauce

A delicious variety of fish with rice and a mixed sauce



  • Salmon
  • Cod
  • Haddock
  • Rock
  • Coleslaw
  • Hummus
  • BBQ Sauce
  • Tomato Ketchup
  • Thyme
  • Basmitti Rice


Add 3 cups of rice into a bowl. Then add 6 cups of boiling water to the rice. Give it a good stir and place in the microwave at full heat for 20mins or place on the hob for 15mins until it starts to bubble.

While the rice is cooking take the scales off the fresh fish. Next chop them into medium sized slices and chop the medium sized slices into small slices. Cook this fish however you like.

While the fish is cooking make your sauce. Use a quarter of a cup of Hummus, Coleslaw, Tomato Ketchup and BBQ Sauce. Stir that all together. Then add about a handful of Thyme and add it to the sauce. Give that a good stir.

By the time you've finished making the sauce, the rice should be done. Take it off the hob or out of the microwave. Give the rice a stir and leave it to cool for about 5 minutes.

Once the rice has cooled stir it again and wait for the fish.

Once the fish has cooked put the small chunks of fish into the sauce. Then get out some warm roasted vegetables and add those to the sauce as well.

Add the rice to the sauce and stir well.

Place into small bowls and serve with a small piece of Thyme on the top. (This feeds 4)
