Step 1:

  • Heat oven to 180 C
  • Step 2:

  • Melt butter, syrup and sugar together in a saucepan over a low heat.
  • Step 3:

  • Grease a small cake tin (20cm square or so).
  • Step 4:

  • Mix oats in to the mix. – add any other ingredients here.
  • Step 5:

  • Allow the mix to cool slightly and press into the tin.
  • Step 6:

  • Bake for about 30 minutes until nicely browned.
  • Step 7:

  • Allow to cool before cutting up.

  • I added raisins, but you could add cherries, chocolate chips, anything you like.
