Step 1:

  • Whisk the sugar and eggs together.
  • Step 2:

  • Fold in flour. Make sure you sift the flour twice before folding in.
  • Step 3:

  • When there is no flour showing and is all thick, pour into a round tin.
  • Step 4:

  • Cook for 10 mins
  • Step 5:

  • Take it out and put your chosen fruit on top.
  • Step 6:

  • Pour glaze over the fruit.
  • Step 7:

  • To make the glaze:

  • 2 tsp of Arrowroot
  • Step 9:

  • 1/4 pt liquid; either the juice from the tin of fruit or water.
  • Step 10:

  • Cook on heat until thick and gloopy.
  • Step 11:

  • If you want to colour it, put in some food colouring (it doesn’t have any taste so won’t affect you flan).
