Step 1:

  • Peel the garlic cloves and dice finely (or use a garlic crusher)
  • Step 2:

  • Wash and cut the mushrooms in half (or quarters depending on the size)
  • Step 4:

  • Spray or put the oil in the frying pan
  • Step 6:

  • Step 7:

  • Put as much or as little butter/marg in the frying pan
  • Step 8:

  • Turn the hob on full heat
  • Step 10:

  • Throw the butter, garlic and mushrooms in the frying pan and swizz it all round with a spoon/spatula until they go golden or crispy
  • Step 12:

  • Step 13:

  • You now have the option of draining the butter and juices from the pan, or just pouring them on the plate/bowl (that makes a nice sauce to dip the bread in, and the garlic gives this recipe a crunchy kick to it)
