Hartley’s Squeezy Jam Tarts

Step 1:

  • Sift the flour and salt in a bowl.
  • Step 2:

  • Add the butter and rub in with the fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  • Step 3:

  • Mix with enough cold water to form a firm dough.
  • Step 4:

  • Knead gently on a lightly floured surface. Roll out and use to line a 20 cm/8 in pie plate.
  • Step 5:

  • Trim the edge and decorate with the prongs of a fork.
  • Step 6:

  • Squeeze your Hartley’s Smooth Squeezy Jam in the centre of the pastry.
  • Step 7:

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 200c/400f/gas mark 6 for about 20 minutes until the pastry is golden and the jam is bubbling.
