Step 1:

  • Stand the flan case on the rack of your grill.
  • Step 2:

  • Soak the flan case with some of the juice from the can of pineapple
  • Step 3:

  • Arrange the pineapple rings on the sponge case with one in the middle and the rest slightly overlapping around the edge
  • Step 4:

  • Cream the marg with the sugar until it turns lighter in colour
  • Step 5:

  • Mix in the coconut and milk
  • Step 6:

  • spread this mix carefully over the top of the pineapple
  • Step 7:

  • Cut the cherries in half and place in the centre of each pineapple ring, with a whole one in the middle ring
  • Step 8:

  • Preheat the grill, place flan underneath and grill until golden brown.
  • Step 9:

  • Serve hot or cold
