Step 1: 1 plonk all the above ingredients (except the peas) into a casserole pot and cover with boiling water from the kettle.
Step 3: 2 cook on a medium heat for 45 minutes
Step 5: 3 reduce to simmer for further 20 minutes
Step 7: 4 throw the peas in for 3 minutes
