Basic Braised Rice

A quick and easy wat to get perfect rice every time



  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 1 cup hot water
  • a little oil
  • 1/2 onion finely diced
  • fresh herbs (optional) chopped


1. Add oil to saucepan, with oil is hot add diced onion and sweat of for 2 minutes.

2. Add the rice and stir, then add the water and simmer for 1 minute.

3.Add herbs in needed cover tightly with foil and cook in oven for 20 minutes perfect braised rice.
