Takes 5 minutes the night before for an effortless and delicious breakfast for you in the morning

  • 1 standard mug of porrige/rolled oats
  • 1 mug semi/skimmed milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp honey/golden syrup
  • very sml handful chocolate drops or chopped chocolate
  • handful strawberries/blueberries/raspberries or (cheaper alternative) 2 tbsp berry jam

The night before, mix together the milk, oats, salt, golden syrup/honey, chocolate and cinnamon in a jar and place in the fridge

in the morning add the fruit and anything else you'd like and eat - its usually served cold but if you'd prefer it warm you can always heat it up in the microwave.

I am a student and i want to say that is not easy to eat healthy when we live in a apartment for students. We want always eat something fat like junk food because it is easier and better. But it is not better for the health and i tend to forget it.

it happens fast that someone asks you if you want chips or soft drink and you want some so you are tempted to say yes. We don't really think about our health when we are student and we are not living with our parents. We can eat what we want so we enjoy this life. But we have to realize that is not good for us and we have to get use to take good reflexes. Thanks to this site i could check what recipes i want and it is healthy. It is good also so it is win-win.
