Step 1:
Pre-heat your over to 200 degrees Step 3:
run the sausages under a cold tap to firm them up slightly and then run a sharp knife across the casing to remove the meat inside and place into a mixing bowl. Step 5:
add salt and pepper and thyme (or any other herbs you like. Sometimes i add chilli or mustard powder or even chopped up apple or some chorizo!) Step 7:
mix all the ingredients together and then roll out the pastry into a large square about 2-3mm thick. Mine never goes square square, it’s more like a square with lots of wavy edges but that doesn’t matter. Step 9:
cut the pastry into smaller rectangles. If you are using the tesco own brand i was able to make 10 rectangles out of it. Step 11:
use the egg wash to paint the rectangles. Step 13:
then place a small amount (about the size of a small meatball) on the top of the rectablge and make into a sausagey oblong tube shape and then roll the pastry down. This wraps or encases the sausage meat. Step 15:
do this with all of them and lay them on a baking try covered in greaseproof paper. Step 17:
then run an egg wash on top of all of them and sprinkle with some sesame seeds. Step 19:
pop them into the middle of the oven for 25-30 mins and they should go a lovely golden brown colour. All done!!!
