Ingredients
- serves 2
- 1 red pepper – chopped
- 1 red onion – sliced
- 2 pork chops
- tomato puree
- smoked paprika (available from tesco)
- herbs, salt, pepper
Instructions
I learnt this recipe from a friend who’s family is from Hungary – I have loved paprika since then!
place the pork chops in a grill pan with oil and cook until lightly coloured, add the peppers and onion.
add about a tablespoon of tomato puree and 2 teaspoons of the smoked paprika – add the herbs and salt and pepper to taste.
stir the mixure, turn down the temperature and cover to allow to cook and ‘steam’ through
It should be ready after 15 mins, and if you’d like a bit of a kick just add some chilli or cajun seasoning.
when I’ve made it for friends it’s been great with onion mash and brocolli, or roast garlic potatoes and garlic bread… or salad! anything really 🙂
