Step 1:

  • Chop up the bacon into small chunks
  • Step 2:

  • Add a dash of oil into a saucepan and heat
  • Step 3:

  • Throw in the bacon and fry it
  • Step 4:

  • Put in half a teaspoon of plain flour
  • Step 5:

  • Stir flour in until it browns (roughly a minute)
  • Step 6:

  • Pour in enough milk to cover the bacon and to make a decent sized sauce
  • Step 7:

  • Stir in for a couple of minutes
  • Step 8:

  • Start to add whatever sauces you have, stir constantly and taste occasionally til the flavour is right (usual I start with ketchup and bbq sauce till it has a good flavour then add in a small amount of worcester sauce for a bit of a kick)
  • Step 9:

  • Crush in a beef OXO cube and stir
  • Step 10:

  • Chop up a couple of mushrooms and add them
  • Step 11:

  • Step 12:

  • The end product then goes on whatever you’ve prepared to go with it (be it pasta, potato or rice)
