Mushrooms on Toast

Very tasty, fast, cheap mushroom on toast breakfast
Difficulty Level: easy
Ingredients
- – 3 or 4 medium sized Button Mushrooms
- – 2 slices of bacon/chorizo/ham (any meat you like!)
- – 1 or 2 slices of bread
- – Butter or margarine (I prefer margarine but it’s up to you!)
- – Mixed herbs
- – Black pepper
- – Salt
Instructions
1. Slice the mushrooms into quarters (slice more if larger, less if smaller).
2. Melt 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of margarine/butter in a pan.
3. Put your bread in the toaster.
4. Put the mushrooms in the pan with the margarine/butter, cook on a low-medium heat. If you’re using a raw meat such as bacon, put this in now.
5. Season the mushrooms with 1/2 teaspoon of mixed herbs, a few grinds of black pepper and a pinch of salt.
6. If using a precooked meat such as ham or chorizo, add it to the pan now.
7. When the mushrooms are dark gold-brown and your meat is cooked, put your toast on a plate. Top it with the meat, then mushrooms and pour any leftover margarine/butter onto the toast.
