Step 1: Here is a super cheap, super easy, and super duper quick soup!
Step 3: Okay, so from the ingredients, if you don’t have any of these condiments, ask your flat/house mates if you could pinch some. I did. All these ingredients are non or somewhat half perishable, I advise to go to ASDA for frozen veg, best thing i did and only cost me like £3 and you only use a bit at a time.
Step 5: Start with the tinned mushy peas, open and place in a bowl, i’m using the microwave instructions cause it’s faster.
Step 7: Add a comfortable amount of each condiment into the bowl, apart from Soy sauce.
Step 9: mix in well, add 5 table spoons of water to the bowl and use the spoon to mix and press against the peas until squished, unless you like lumpy soup.
Step 11: place in to the microwave and just leave it there for a minute.
Step 13: take out a frying pan and add two spoons of preferred oil, and heat up the pan, keep it on a low/medium heat.
Step 15: if you have fresh vegetables then prepare and cut them, then throw them in! If you’ve got frozen veg, just throw them in! Bare in mind this is how much you want and try not to put too much in cause you’ll have about 2 bowls worth by this point. Which again! You can put into a tub and save for later!
Step 17: put the microwave with you mushy peas in, on, put 3 minutes and on the highest heat.
Step 19: once the vegetables are cooked through, getting a wee bit brown, take them off the heat.
Step 21: The peas are done so get them out, be careful it’s hot, give it a good mix and then add the vegetables, then mix again.
Step 23: time to add in the Soy sauce! don’t put too much in! 1 or 2 tablespoons, If you’re not a fan, Worcestershire sauce will do the trick.
Step 25: As for the egg, it’s up to you, how you want it, Poached, fried, boiled… whatever tickles your fancy, i like fried myself. cook an egg and place on top!
Step 27: Add some toast or rivita to dip along.
