Ingredients
- 1 desert spoon of golden syrup
- 2 and a half ounces of butter
- 2 ounces of caster sugar
- 1 and a half ounces of porridge oats
- 1 ounce of dessicated coconut
- 2 ounces of plain flour
- 1 level tablespoon of bicarbinate soda
Instructions
* put syrup, butter and sugar into a pan and melt over a low heat
* stir in the dry ingredients
* dissolve the bicarb soda in half a tablespoon of hot water and then add to mixture
* leave mixture to cool for 5 mins
* divide mixture up into small balls
* place on baking tray and flatten into biscuit shape
* bake for 20 mins – or until golden brown
* oven should be at about 170 degrees
