Step 1:

  • * put syrup, butter and sugar into a pan and melt over a low heat
  • Step 2:

  • * stir in the dry ingredients
  • Step 3:

  • * dissolve the bicarb soda in half a tablespoon of hot water and then add to mixture
  • Step 4:

  • * leave mixture to cool for 5 mins
  • Step 5:

  • * divide mixture up into small balls
  • Step 6:

  • * place on baking tray and flatten into biscuit shape
  • Step 7:

  • * bake for 20 mins – or until golden brown
  • Step 8:

  • * oven should be at about 170 degrees
