Step 1: Put all the dry ingredients into the bowl.
Step 2: add the milk and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients and mix well.
Step 3: melt the butter/margarine (a few seconds in the microwave should do it) and add into the mixture. Stir again.
Step 5: spread out evenly on a lined baking sheet. Lining it with foil works best because greaseproof paper can get soggy from the milk. If you have a larger baking sheet, the mixture might not cover the whole of it.
Step 7: bake for 20 minutes on 190°c or until golden brown.
Step 8: cut into squares or rectangles while it’s still hot.
Step 9: it might look like it’s too squidgy and like it won’t stick together at first, but don’t worry! Once it’s cooled down, the oats stick together better.
Step 10: sometimes i like to sprinkle a little more sweetener on top and even a little bit of cinnamon!
Step 12: store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Consume within 1 week.
Step 14: i like to bake a batch at the weekend then eat them in the morning when i’m too busy to sit down and eat!
