Step 1:
Put all the dry ingredients into the bowl. Step 2:
add the milk and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients and mix well. Step 3:
melt the butter/margarine (a few seconds in the microwave should do it) and add into the mixture. Stir again. Step 5:
spread out evenly on a lined baking sheet. Lining it with foil works best because greaseproof paper can get soggy from the milk. If you have a larger baking sheet, the mixture might not cover the whole of it. Step 7:
bake for 20 minutes on 190°c or until golden brown. Step 8:
cut into squares or rectangles while it’s still hot. Step 9:
it might look like it’s too squidgy and like it won’t stick together at first, but don’t worry! Once it’s cooled down, the oats stick together better. Step 10:
sometimes i like to sprinkle a little more sweetener on top and even a little bit of cinnamon! Step 12:
store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Consume within 1 week. Step 14:
i like to bake a batch at the weekend then eat them in the morning when i’m too busy to sit down and eat!
