After seeing this one cup of flour personal focaccia bread trending on Tiktok I knew I had to give it a shot. This bread is light, it’s airy, and it has the perfect flavor. With that being said this bread is a canvas for you to do whatever you want with it. You could add rosemary just before baking to get that classic focaccia flavor, or maybe some cumin for an indian bread twist. It doesn’t just have to be spices either, you could add olives, sun dried tomatoes, nuts, or whatever your heart desires. Next time I make this one cup of flour personal focaccia I will definitely be playing around with the flavors.
That’s not to say that the plain wasn’t perfect on its own because it was, but some add-ins could be really fun. I used plain focaccia as sandwich bread for my lunch and it was unbelievable. If you don’t want to add anything into your focaccia don’t fret, the plain is still delicious.
I can definitely see this focaccia bread becoming a staple for me when I go back to school. Each and every time I buy bread I end up letting over half of it go bad. This recipe is perfect because it gives single servings and I don’t have any guilt about wasting food.
For this recipe I recommend using dry active yeast, if you have only a different yeast on hand you may need to play with the amounts of flour and or water in the recipe so be aware of that. The yeast I use is Fleischmann’s RapidRise Yeast which you can get at almost every grocery store and places like walmart and Target. It works perfectly for me each time I use it and I highly recommend it.
This one cup of flour personal focaccia is also perfect as a side to any dinner meal. Try it with any of our easy dinners or salads. My personal favorite combo with this bread is with our Arrabbiata Sauce 20-Minute Pasta Dinner. I love how I can soak the bread in the sauce and get a great combination of all of the flavors.
If you are thinking about making bread at home give this one cup of flour personal focaccia a try first. It is easy to handle and super straightforward.
