Onion, potato and cheese puff pastry.
Difficulty Level: easy
Ingredients
- 1 just-rol puff pastry
- half an onion
- Spring onions
- 125g of grated chedder cheese
- 4 and half bigish potatos.
- Flour (just to put onto the kitchen surface)
Instructions
1. preheat your oven to about 180 degrees.
2. peel and boil the potatos.
3. rub some flour onto the kitchen surface and roll out the pastry into a rectangle shape.
4. Cut up the onion and spring onions and grate the cheese.
5. with a knife make small slits down the sides of the pastry (Not from the middle) this sort of shape <– (Note this part is difficult to describe!)
5. When the potatos have boiled, mash them up and add the cheese, spring onion and onion into the mash potato and mix it well.
6. Add the mashed potato mixture into the middle of the pastry
7. Fold up the slits you did earlier into the middle of the pastry.
8. use egg to wipe over the top of the pastry to make it stick together.
9. Put into the oven for about 30- 35 mins and serve with salad.
and there you have it your very own potato pastry type thing. (Honestly it sounds gross, but its lovely! I made it years ago!!)
