Panettone pudding

A delicious bread and butter pudding

Ingredients
- A panettone
- 1/2 pint milk
- 1/2 pint of single cream
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 25 g butter or marg
- 50 g sugar
Instructions
Serves 8
Cut the panettone into chunks and layer neatly in a large oven proof dish
Mix the eggs, milk, cream, vanilla and half the sugar
Pour over the panettone and leave to stand for 15 mins
Sprinkle the remaining sugar, and dot the butter on top
Place in a large baking tin which has water in to come up the sides of the panettone dish and bake in the oven at 180 for about 40 minutes. The custard should be set and the top brown and crispy
