Mince Pies

Easy but delicious



  • Shortcrust pastry
  • Jar of mincemeat (shop bought)
  • Egg
  • Icing sugar


Step 1: Preheat the oven to 205˚c. Get a muffin tin and lightly butter the base and edges.

Step 2: Roll out the pastry and cut with a cutter to the right size. Remember to leave some pastry for the top.

Step 3: Put the pastry in the tin. Then fill each one with mince meat.

Step 4: With the spare pastry cut out a star (or other Christmas shapes) and place on top. Cover the top pastry with egg wash.

Step 5: Bake for 20 minutes.

Step 6: Lightly sprinkle the icing sugar on the top.
