1. This isn’t really a recipe, just something that you might not have thought of. A tin of soup is a lot cheaper than pasta sauce. Just cook the pasta and the soup separately (you can microwave the soup- you’ll also need less than a whole can- maybe half) and then stir the soup into the pasta. You can get all kinds of soup- get one with chunks of stuff in and feel like you’re eating a proper meal.
