Best Macaroni And Cheese

Absolutely superb Mac & Cheese / Serves: 2 / Nutritional info: Full of calcium, and other nice things


  • 1 tsp dijon mustard or English mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 mugs or cups dried pasta (mugs hold more stuff!)
  • 2.5 mugs or cups milk (use semi or whole milk) - More if needed
  • 1.5 cups loosely packed grated cheddar cheese


In a saucepan, add pasta and milk. (Make sure the saucepan is larger then what is required to prevent the milk spilling over!)

Bring to simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for 20 minutes, until pasta is soft, stirring frequently. Be sure milk does not boil.

Turn heat off.

Add cheese & salt.

Stir to combine.

Stir in the mustard a little at a time to taste.

Cover and let stand for about 5 minutes, then stir again and serve.

Add a tablespoon or more milk to your desired creaminess


Gently stir.

Oven Finish (Optional) Not necessary if you want to be quick!

Place in a baking dish and top with a generous sprinkling of cheese.

Bake at 200degC degrees for approximately 10

minutes until cheese has melted.

If you have got some bacon, then cook the bacon as you do normally and chop it in pieces and add will the cheddar cheese. NICE!!
