1) cook the pasta in salted boiling water for 12 mins approx.
2) whilst the pasta is cooking, cut the sausages into thin slices about 1cm thick , then fry in a hot pan with half the oil until crispy and cooked.
3) chuck the cabbage in with the pasta in the last 6 minutes of cooking, and once cooked drain the pasta and cabbage
*place a mug under the colander to hold some of the pasta water*
4) throw the sausages in with the pasta and cabbage, the rest of the oil and season with lots of pepper and the chilli. Use a few tbsp of the pasta water to loosen up the pasta itself. Serve with a grating of cheese it you like !
