Step 1: Fill a medium sized pan roughly two thirds with water and bring to boil on the hob.
Step 3: get the bowl you’ll be eating from, and pour the pastina into it. This will give you an indication of how much you need to cook. Be mindful that pastina expands when cooked.
Step 5: pour pastina from the bowl into the boiling water and immediately stir for a few moments.
Step 7: add chicken stock cube, stir until dissolved or mostly dissolved.
Step 9: add bel-paese or dairylea cheese, stir until dissolved.
Step 11: cook on the hob on medium heat for roughly 15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Taste pastina to make sure it’s done.
Step 13: when done, drain excess (not all) water carefully out of the pan, or keep it for a more soup-like dish.
Step 15: leftovers can be microwaved for a future meal.
