Perfect Pasta Bake

An amazingly hearty, filling dish! great comfort food and lasts for days in the fridge!
Difficulty Level: easy
Ingredients
- 100g pasta (any sort really. I tend to use penne)
- 50g meat (can be fish, poultry or beef/ pork etc)
- 100g veggies (i like sliced peppers, onions and carrots)
- 2 tins of chopped tomatoes
- herbs (oregano, rosemary etc (depends on the sort of meat))
- 1 clove garlic
- cheeseee
- 1 single packet of ready salted crisps (optional)
Instructions
-put the pasta on the hob to boil
-chop up your veggies and meat any way you like
-fry the chopped meat in a deep pan until cooked
-pop the veggies and garlic in the same dish to fry lightly
-pour in the 2 tins of tomatoes
-check the pasta to see if its cooked
-if cooked, drain the pasta
-put the herbs in the sauce and stir with a wooden spoon
-keep stirring until boiling and take off the heat
-start grating the cheese (you need loads!)
-break the crisps into bits
-in a deep ovenproof dish, start mixing the sauce with the drained pasta
-preheat the oven to 190 degrees
-cover the mixture with the broken crisps evenly
-sprinkle the cheese on top
-pop it in the oven for 20mins
-take it out and enjoy the warmth of a homey meal!!!
