Perfect Pasta Bake

An amazingly hearty, filling dish! great comfort food and lasts for days in the fridge!

Ingredients

  • 100g pasta (any sort really. I tend to use penne)
  • 50g meat (can be fish, poultry or beef/ pork etc)
  • 100g veggies (i like sliced peppers, onions and carrots)
  • 2 tins of chopped tomatoes
  • herbs (oregano, rosemary etc (depends on the sort of meat))
  • 1 clove garlic
  • cheeseee
  • 1 single packet of ready salted crisps (optional)

Instructions

  1. -put the pasta on the hob to boil

  2. -chop up your veggies and meat any way you like

  3. -fry the chopped meat in a deep pan until cooked

  4. -pop the veggies and garlic in the same dish to fry lightly

  5. -pour in the 2 tins of tomatoes

  6. -check the pasta to see if its cooked

  7. -if cooked, drain the pasta

  8. -put the herbs in the sauce and stir with a wooden spoon

  9. -keep stirring until boiling and take off the heat

  10. -start grating the cheese (you need loads!)

  11. -break the crisps into bits

  12. -in a deep ovenproof dish, start mixing the sauce with the drained pasta

  13. -preheat the oven to 190 degrees

  14. -cover the mixture with the broken crisps evenly

  15. -sprinkle the cheese on top

  16. -pop it in the oven for 20mins

  17. -take it out and enjoy the warmth of a homey meal!!!
