Ingredients

  • Golden syrup (4 table spoons)
  • Butter (200g)
  • Plain chocolate (100g)
  • Crushed digestive biscuits (250g)
  • Crushed rich tea biscuits (100g)
  • up to 300g of chopped fruit and nuts
  • Popping candy (50g)

Instructions

  1. line a roasting tin with greaseproof paper

  2. melt the syryp, butter and chocolate together in the microwave

  3. add the crushed biscuits, popping candy, fruit and nuts and mix thoroughly

  4. spoon into the tin and level it off with a round-bladed knife

  5. chill for 2hours in the fridge (30mins in the freezer) and cut into squares.

  6. Serve from the fridge.
