A cream free, simple carbonara

Ingredients

  • 90g pasta/spagetti (or however much you usually have)
  • 1 egg
  • 25g cheddar cheese
  • 50ml milk
  • 2 slices of ham (or bacon, but ham is quicker)

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook pasta

  2. 2. Whisk together egg, milk and grated cheese

  3. 3. Drain pasta and tip into mixture (or drain pasta, return it to saucepan and add mixture, but this comes with the added risk of scrambling)

  4. 4. Add shredded ham

  5. 5. Serve
