STEP 1:

Blanket Burgers:

Skin the sausages and place them in a mixing bowl, then finely chop the bacon and the onion and add into the bowl with a pinch of salt, pepper and a drizzle of oil.

STEP 4:

now mix the contents of the bowl (i find using your hand is easiest, just oil your hand up a little to stop the mixture from sticking to your hand), and when you’re happy that it”s well-mixed, separate the mixture into two balls (per portion) and heat up a pan with some oil on medium heat then turn down to low (I CAN’T STRESS THIS ENOUGH, ONLY COOK THESE ON LOW HEAT OTHERWISE YOU’LL END UP WITH RAW IN THE MIDDLE AND BURNT ON THE OUTSIDE), and cook for around 20-25 minutes.

The Sauce:

Take a medium sized saucepan and fill it with cold water. now chop the onion into segments and place in the water along with the mango chutney, and the gravy granules. next sift the flour into the mixture and bring it to boil. when it boils, turn down to medium heat, and leave to reduce for 10 mins then add the salt and pepper.

after that, sieve the sauce into a jug, leaving out the solid matter.

The Rice:

make rice the normal way, but before you sieve out, add cracked black pepper to the rice and stir.

Serving:

Drain the rice and place onto a dish, then serve the blanket burgers with the rice and cover the burgers with sauce.
