Step 1:

  • Knead the pastry and the brown sugar until well mixed.
  • Step 2:

  • Roll all of the pastry into thin strips.
  • Step 3:

  • Make the pastry into plaits (use three pieces of pastry for each plait)
  • Step 4:

  • Put all of the plaits, with about an inch and a half of growing space in-between each one, on a greased baking tray.
  • Step 5:

  • Sprinkle the caster sugar over the plaits.
  • Step 6:

  • Place into the oven for roughly 20 – 30 minutes (but check on them every five minutes).
  • Step 7:

  • Serve as a posh dough pudding!
