Prawns and Pasta

It really tastes like you are eating in a restaurant
Difficulty Level: easy
Ingredients
- To serve 4 people
- 8oz of any pasta
- A glass of any white wine
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of margoram
- 1 teaspoon of chilli powder (you decide on whether you want it mild or hot)
- Any mushrooms or peppers you have lurking around (not essential so dont go and buy them unless you really want to)
- One bag of prawns (can buy these quite cheaply from the freezer sections of supermarkets….£2.50ish)
- Salt and black pepper
- 2 tins of tomatoes
- one teaspoon of sugar (seems to help the acidity)
- if you want to be really posh then a small carton of cream but again not essential.
Instructions
Crush the garlic and cook very gently in a little olive oil…if you have peppers and mushrooms add them here
Add the white wine
Heat up then add the chilli and Margoram.
Add the tins of tomatoes.
Cook through and then add salt and pepper.
Allow to simmer gently whilst you cook the pasta.
When the pasta is ready turn the heat up on the sauce and add the prawns…..if you use the small prawns you can add them straight from the freezer. Heat up. Make sure the prawns are heated thoroughly but dont over cook them. Turn the heat down and then add cream very slowly and carefully if you are using it.
Strain the pasta and put in a dish. Pour the sauce over and add a little grated parmesan if you want.
